Yacht Life Sciences has a vacancy for an Associated Scientist for Janssen Vaccines and Prevention in Leiden.
We are looking for two Associated Scientists who are motivated to work in a multidisciplinary and international environment. Within a team you will be investigating the immunological response to new viral vaccine candidates using small animal models. These vaccine candidates may include vaccines against SARS-CoV2, HIV, or RSV. Techniques that you will use include ELISA, neutralizing antibody assays to measure virus entry inhibition, ELISPOT, intracellular cytokine staining, in vivo imaging of small animals (bioluminescence and fluorescence), and other immunology and virology-related assays.
Functie-eisen
- Bachelor or Master degree in a life science related field;
- Special requests: Holder of "artikel 6 or artikel 12" , and hands-on experience required;
- Experience with immunological and/or Virological techniques is required;
- You have good communication skills in English, written and spoken;
- Experience working with PBMCs is a nice to have.
