Functieomschrijving
The client's Murex Scrum (RMS) team in Rabobank Wholesale and International is looking for a BA. The BA role is focused especially towards the functional areas of Front Office and Treasury. The right candidate will be to provide functional and technical analytical skills in relation to the Murex platform, communicating these for development via user stories and ensuring comprehensive tests are available.
The main objective of the RMS team is to maintain the Murex service through support and delivery of “Business as Usual” change. The team also engages with an on-going programme to implement next phases of the Front-to-Back-to-Risk trade processing platform based on the Murex product, replacing a number of current systems.
Context of Job: Our client is a bank with branches operating in key financial centres across the globe. W&I IT Systems is the IT provider for our client's Wholesale & International. The systems developed and managed by IT Systems are used not only in the Netherlands, but also by Rabobank entities worldwide. The RMS team is located across Utrecht, London, Pune and Melbourne so that it can provide 24x6 support for the Murex service to the business who are located across numerous locations globally (e.g. Oceania, Asia, Europe, Americas).
The Murex installation at our client is in production for FX & MM products, covering Front Office pre-trade processing, Market and Credit Risk including XVA and MLC, and Operations post-trade processing. There are a significant number of interfaces (real-time, workflow and datamart reporting) to upstream market trading and market data environments, risk and reporting systems, and regulatory and payment systems.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• To analyse user/business requirements, construct user stories and Product Backlog Items to be developed in to system solutions
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support (including on-call out-of-hours and being part of a rota that requires evening work every so many weeks) for the production service; when escalated, resolve incidents and problems in area of expertise
• Review and optimise requirements in liaison with the vendor and other parties
• Oversee the development of functional solutions within the Murex environment
• Investigate, and propose solutions, on functional and technical issues raised by Business Users and peers in IT teams
• Facilitate a knowledge handover to team members on functional and where appropriate technical components to remove single points of expertise and key person risk
• Working with other team members in an Agile/DevOps way-of-working, construct relevant solution and tests per functional requirement
• Agree functional resolutions within service and project timeframes with vendor
Key Relationships
• The key relationships for the job holder will be with the RMS Delivery Manager, Support Teams, Scrum Team Members, Scrum Master, Product Owner(s) and Project Manager(s).
Key Performance Indicators
• Deliver effective User Stories (design and functional specifications) for agreement
• Work in the RMS team and where agreed on the FtBtR project as directed
• Meet delivery dates, work to required standards providing business functional and technical documentation
• Share knowledge and provide guidance to other business analysts / developers
• Implementation of standards (project and process) and provide direction for other team members
• Provide feedback for lessons learnt from projects and support tasks
• Ensure comprehensive communication with the clients, other teams involved and the project manager
