This position supports the Optical Coating Engineering Group through the set up and operation of precision equipment, the evaluation and testing of optical components

Job Mission
This position supports the Optical Coating Engineering Group through the set up and operation of precision equipment, the evaluation and testing of optical components, and through documenting the procedures and processes for creating optical coatings. 

Reports to Optical Coating Process and Equipment Manager, works together with Optical Engineering, Manufacturing, D&E, and Industrial Engineering.ASML is a world leader in the manufacture of advanced technology systems for the semiconductor industry. 

ASML’s corporate headquarters is in Veldhoven, the Netherlands. Manufacturing sites and research and development facilities are located in Connecticut, California and the Netherlands. Technology development centers and training facilities are located in the United States, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, and Taiwan. Additionally, ASML provides optimal service to its customers via over 50 sales and service organizations in 16 countries. Founded in the Netherlands in 1984, the company is publicly traded on Euronext Amsterdam and NASDAQ under the symbol ASML. 

Job Description
  • Ability to follow all company safety regulations.
  • Ability to work safely around fragile, high value optics.
  • Ability to interpret engineering and technical documents.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of computer controls and PLC operation.
  • Basic maintenance and set up of vacuum equipment.
  • Ability to assist the engineering and production teams with daily tasks.
  • Ability to identify production and safety issues and communicate them effectively.
  • Candidate will be required to wear PPE where required. 


Education
Associates Degree in a technical background such as engineering, manufacturing, physical sciences, or equivalent experience. 

Experience
  • Experience in a technical manufacturing environment.
  • Highly competent in interpreting working instructions and paying attention to details.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10, MS Office & SAP. Personal skills-Strong analytical skills – capable of translating requirements into executable schedule.
  • Cross train and support cross functional groups.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
  • Ability to evaluate and test precision components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate one on one and in small groups to operators, management and engineers.
