As a Sweater/Knitwear Designer within WSW team, you be working to the Womenswear Division seasonal collections. You will report into the Senior sweater/Knitwear Designer. You will work closely with the Product Developers and Merchandisers within your area. Next to this you'll be working close with all designers within the WSW team to align the sweater/knitwear collection to the WSW inspiration and details.
We expect you to be curious and follow what is the next trends in sweater/knitwear with a love for the sweater/knitwear category. We expect you to be creative with a fresh and new eye on the sweater/knitwear.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will focus on researching trends that works into the Tommy Hilfiger Womenswear brand strategy/DNA
- You will be part of an enthusiastic team and will learn to work from A to Z on a collection
- Create brand identity through trims & branding development
- Research trends for the WSW sweater/knitwear
- Selecting yarns/fabrics during mills presentation
- Focus on sustainability regarding yarns selections
- Keep and maintain our yarns & garments library up to date & relevant
- You will design new shapes & details for development with the technical fit team
- You will work to the divisional calendar to meet deadlines
- You will work in Illustrator & Photoshop to design technical sheets & overviews for divisional presentations
- You need to create all selected & confirmed styles into computerized & design technical sheets
- Share completed technical sheet to buying offices globally
- Participate in fittings with your Senior Designer and technical team
- Travel for efficient and relevant shopping trips and to factories for handover & inspiration
