Reporting to the Site Manager, EMEA, the Site Operations & Trade Lead UK is an essential role within the Site Management team of New Balance's EMEA E-commerce department. Based in the Houthavens in Amsterdam, the team leads the delivery of a stable and progressive E-commerce platform for EMEA, enabling the future growth plans of the region. The role is responsible for the successful execution of all products and campaigns launching on New Balance's UK website and to maximize conversion and sales opportunities by addressing specific market needs. The ideal candidate has a strong commercial acumen and understanding of E-commerce within the retail or fashion industry.
The role will execute regional Merchandise and Marketing plans but also define localized opportunities to drive in-season trading of the UK website. The Site Operations & Trade Lead UK will execute digital merchandise and campaign management strategies to enable a highly localized site experience for our UK customers.
Responsibilities
Operations:
Ensuring the successful delivery of regular and ad-hoc tasks including, but not limited to:
- Onsite content management
- Site merchandising
- Product information management
- Product readiness
- On-site search & sort optimisation
- Product catalogue management
- Onsite SEO
- Campaign and promotion management
Trade:
- Lead the localization strategy for the UK website by analyzing onsite and offsite performance and develop an in-depth understanding of the market requirements and identify category growth opportunities.
- Analyze onsite KPIs and merchandise performance to develop UK specific in-season trade opportunities supporting the EMEA commercial and marketing calendar.
- Define and execute region-specific site merchandise strategies to improve conversion
- Alongside EMEA Marketing and Merchandise Leads, define, plan and execute UK specific onsite campaigns
- Collaborate with the CRM Lead, feeding into the CRM strategy, email planning and segmentation/personalisation from a stock and product perspective in the UK
Qualifications
- 4+ years of business user experience in E-commerce platform operations, digital merchandising or campaign management (SFCC is a plus)
- 2+ years of people management experience and demonstrated leadership abilities
- Proven experience in digital merchandising and content management processes, procedures and systems
- Highly organised, with an ability to coordinate delivery in collaboration with several teams
- Experience in working with a wide range of stakeholders
- Excellent commercial awareness with a strong focus to maximise conversion
- Proven success in handling large onsite campaigns including brief, execution and retrospective
- Experience with analytics software (e.g. Google Analytics)
- Fluent in English, other European languages are an advantage
