To meet our current and future capacity needs, our team in Tilburg is looking for a new colleague! Tilburg is the location for parts of our online and retail logistics business.
We put the customer in focus and our job is about fulfilling the customer promise, creating a quality retail shopping delivery. To get our business running we need you - an ambitious, team focused Impex Associate!
As part of a fast-growing business the day to day is varied. You will be responsible for the smooth import and export operation of all incoming cargo into the countries we oversee, as well as for all related issues that cover all brands and channels in the group-controlled supply chain.
Your main responsibilities:
- Import planning of cargo arriving by all modes of transport (sea, air, truck, rail) both within and outside the EU for the DC's we oversee Tilburg, Nieuwegein and Kamen (DE).
- Cargo planning with other departments in the DC's.
- Arrange customs clearance in cooperation with internal customs department, as well as exports (assisted by import department and customs brokers).
- Communicate with H&M Production offices to ensure high document quality (for imports and exports).
- Review performance of service providers that deliver to all the DC's we handle.
- Communicate with service providers and handle the process with them.
- Communicate and coordinate volumes expected with other departments within the DC's.
- Approve freight and service invoices for accuracy for the DC's, as well as budget control.
- Arrange and coordinate cross-docking activities.
- Arrange exports to countries outside the EU requested by other departments (moves, samples, etc.).
- Deal with all import related issues, e.g. trace missing cargo, handle transport insurance cases (claims).
- Speaking partner for customs audits and controls.
- Keep statistics and KPI's.
- Work in close cooperation with our own warehouse or 3PL partner.To be successful in the role we believe you have:
- An MBO degree along with comparable work experience.
- Clear communication and presentation skills, fluent written and spoken English.
- Figure minded.
- Good IT knowledge (Microsoft Office).
- Able to multitask with different IT programs.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexible and the understanding of irregular working hours is required.
- Fit for a fast paced, multi-task, high pressure and deadline sensitive environment.And as a person we believe you have the following qualities:
