Junior Application Specialist (m/f)

In this role you will be part of the team which is responsible for the support, maintenance and development of our core banking applications and ensure their continuous stability and availability. Since the applications can be customised extensively to accommodate new or modified processes by means of parameterisation, you will play an important role in the institutional development of our bank. Your duties will also include testing scripts, rights management, configuration adjustments, implementing software updates and modifications, preparing documentation and planning and monitoring the daily processes.

After appropriate training in the applications of our core banking software you will be analysing the user’s requests and problems, develop solutions and contribute in continuous improvement of existing processes and systems. You will analyse business requirements and report system errors to the software provider.

Your responsibilities:

• Design and implement business and technical functionality parameterisation in the core banking system
• Define, program and implement SQL stored procedures and functions
• Design, implement and maintain functional reports in Visual Studio, Reporting Services
• Perform core banking system version upgrades and database backup/restore
• Provide support for the testing of new and existing software applications under development
• Provide diagnostic support to incidents related to all core banking applications

Your profile:

• University Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
• Understanding of Client Server application environment, relational databases and object-oriented programming with capability to read, write and execute SQL statements/scripts and diagnose data issues
• Knowledge of Microsoft products and Microsoft SQL Server tools
• Knowledge of the banking business is an advantage
