Activities

Jobholder will:

- Familiarize him/herself fully with the accounting structure, order & payment process and Budget & Cost control processes, cost allocations, etc. etc.

- Familiarize him/herself fully with relevant tools SAP & SAP Business Warehouse (BW), Excel & BI-Cycle

- Structurally improve the process and tools used within the FOD department to budget, control & report costs, which should include (but isn’t limited to):
o Drastically reduce the number of Cost centers (cost elements and ‘YS boxes’ where possible)
o Ensure Company rules on cost reporting remain adhered to
o Introduce BI-Cycle as a tool to monitor expense vs Budget
o Introduce / develop a limited number of relevant Cost Performance Indicators (CPI).
o Simplify monthly reporting, with the aid of the above.
o Clean-up number of working files and locations
o Create predefined budget input templates
o Ensure Budget holders have overview and control over their respective budgets (Section Heads, Team Leads).
o Ensure effective time writing by Operations personnel in line with the works performed.
o Review and sustain Logistics cost allocation (Supply vessels, Helicopters, W2W vessel)
o Sustain the result in a mutually approved procedure.

- Share this knowledge to improve mutual understanding of Finance in FOD and for those interested.

Context and environment

Our client operates mature assets with production in decline. Proper control and continuous optimization of our Operational Expense (OPEX) is needed to produce our assets as long as economically viable. Simple and effective cost controlling structures and processes are key to this.

Accountabilities

The jobholder shall ensure the process and tools used within the FOD department to budget, control & report costs are structurally improved and the way of working is sustained in new processes, methods & tools.

Qualifications/Experience required

Schooling: Graduate with a technical or financial BsC or MsC
Skills: Analytic, affinity with Finance – Strong communication Skills
Languages and level: Fluent in English

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €2,500.00 to €3,000.00 /month
