Layout planning specialist (junior)

The clients store development department is the high-performance engine that ensures an ongoing output of outstanding, trailblazing, and innovative stores across Europe. High end graphics, outstanding retail designs combined with space and layout planning are the base of every one of our client's store.  While expanding rapidly, the  search for passionate retail designers is on. The challenge is to conquer new cities, new markets, but never compromise on the quality and uniformity of the brand's stores.  An ideal candidate comes from a high-end retail brand and has proven experience in working on trend setting, high caliber, retail construction projects. You will be involved in the full cycle from concept to final design book.

• The implementation of the current store concept, sketching preliminary design plans, including layouts, planning, light plan, electrical, technical drawings etc;
• Specify materials and furnishings, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, and plumbing fixtures;
• Prepare final design (bid books);
• Working on the evaluation of the store concept.

• A Bachelor's degree in retail / interior design or architecture;
• An inner motivation, strong ambitions and a pragmatic approach; 
• Retail professional experience;
• High proficiency with AutoCAD, basic SketchUp, InDesign an Revit user;
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Access and Powerpoint skills);
• Fixture development knowledge;
• Vendor / Project management background / budget owner;
• Strong communication and influencing skills and comfortable to build relationships easily across the business at all levels;
• Occasional travel may be required;
• The ability to contribute proactively to a project team;
• Professional proficiency of the English language, skills in another European language (pref. Dutch) is a benefit.

At first a freelance job is offered. When proven to be an asset for the team, you might be offered a direct contract at our client.
