Are you looking for an excellent opportunity to relocate to Spain and create your own team of software developers in a rapidly growing Dutch software development company? As our Lead Developer you will be tasked to build your own development team based out of Valencia. You will be working in closely with the CTO who will be leading the process from the Netherlands. Being part of the Management Team and starting a new division in Spain, your role will play a crucial part in the further development of the company. Aside from design and development of innovative software, successful candidates will also support the management team with mentoring, coaching, code and process reviews of Developers.

As our Lead Developer you will be tasked to build your own development team based out of Valencia. You will be working in closely with the CTO who will be leading the process from the Netherlands. Being part of the Management Team and starting a new division in Spain, your role will play a crucial part in the further development of the company. Aside from design and development of innovative software, successful candidates will also support the management team with mentoring, coaching, code and process reviews of Developers.
Functie eisen
As Lead Developer of the new team (+/- 5fte) you will have technical as well as leadership responsibilities. The split will be roughly 80% technical and 20% leadership and together with the CTO you will develop a plan of action for the new team! In Valencia you will take control in assembling the new development team. The management team in the Netherlands will be your sparring partner during this process. You will be writing manuals, processes, determine what codes to use and also be working on the architecture. You will take charge of the day-to-day management in Valencia and you will be the point of contact of the MT.
Furthermore you will actively work on:
- Developing web applications and Microservices based on the latest techniques;
- Writing code that is integrated, tested and implemented continually for different customers;
- Organising brainstorm sessions, on a regular basis, concerning user experience, data and task flow with your team;
- Keeping in close contact with the Dutch clients.
Arbeidsvoorwaarden
Your profile With your good leadership qualities, you are willing to undertake this adventure in Spain. In Valencia you will create your own team and play a crucial part in the development of the company. With your experience with working in multidisciplinary teams and your good communication skills, you will make a growth of the company, together with the MT in The Netherlands. Are you the Lead Developer that has:- 5 years of working experience as a developer, of which some years in a leading role;
- Experience with MicroServices/Azure/.NETcore/NodeJS/Powershell;
- Experience with build/release pipelines;
- Experience with multiple development languages; i.e. .NET or JAVA and Scrum/Agile environment;
- A big heart for the DevOps principles;
- Fluent Dutch or Spanish and English skills. A good knowledge of other languages is a big plus!
