For an international client in Amsterdam we are looking for a Logistics Coordinator. Do you have relevant work experience or did you just finish your logistics studies?
As a Logistics Coordinator you are responsible for the timely and effective coordination of numerous warehouse activities, such as: inbound receiving, inventory control, outbound order fulfillment, all in compliance with the customs licenses. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders (Compliance, Sales, forwarding depts, transport carriers and customers) to bring value to customers supply chains. For this position you will be based at the Benelux head office in Amsterdam.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Coordinating inbound air & ocean shipments;
- Monitoring and executing order fulfillment or cross dock orders;
- Filing customs declarations (import, transit and/or export);
- Offering the right transport solutions based on customer instructions/ SOP's (standard operating procedure);
- Quotation of transport solutions;
- Effective and frequent communication with internal and external; stakeholders via email (Outlook);
- Conduct, report and coordinate KPI's;
- Invoicing of monthly logistic activities;
Perfect Candidate
- A minimum of two years' experience within the fields of expediting/transport/3PL;
- MBO 4 level, preferably transport and/or logistics oriented;
- Commercial and customer-oriented approach
- Sufficient knowledge about EU customs legislation (minimum entry level declarant)
- Experience with tax and customs related problem solving
- Secondary vocational / Higher professional education level
- Fluent in speaking and writing in Dutch and in English
- Good command of MS Office applications like Outlook, Excel and Word
- Experience in working with ERP/ WMS applications is a big plus
- Pro-active, accurate and able to prioritize
- Flexible attitude and able to work overtime when required
- Able to translate customer demands into logistic solutions
- Sufficient financial insight/knowledge to create invoices according to SOP's
