For one of our business units within Oerlikon Metco we are looking for a Product Line Manager (m/f), who will be responsible for the global Hardfacing Materials product portfolio (location in Barchfeld, Germany).

Your responsibilities

  Derive and implement market and segment driven product line strategies to establish sustainable competitive advantages in the market for hardfacing products
• –
  
  Manage existing product lines through their life cycle, through improvements, additions or obsolescence, and introduce new products and/or product repositioning, and identify cost reduction opportunities based on the industry segment given needs
• –
  
  Accumulate and evaluate the hardfacing market and related opportunities, and compile competitor product intelligence
• –
  
  Work closely together with Development, Pricing, Operations, Sales and Industry Management departments, and align and interact with other product lines

We expect

• –
  
  University degree in Engineering
• –
  
  At least 7 years of experience in the hardfacing market resp. with PTA, laser cladding, cored wires, rods products and technologies
• –
  
  A very good technical understanding of our product portfolio and solid experience in a Sales or Marketing role (preferably Product Line Management), with proven ability to master multi-complex tasks and objectives
• –
  
  Strong entrepreneurial spirit, excellent analytical capabilities and leadership skills also without formal reporting lines ability to effectively communicate and work on a global basis, both internally and externally
• –
  
  Excellent English and German skills
• –
  
  Willingness to travel globally
