PRODUCT MANAGER
As a Product Manager you are managing (a part of) our product portfolio. You are responsible to maintain and strengthen a distinctive product portfolio that is in line with the strategy of our client and answering market needs. You manage the product assortment of our client and launch new product lines while working in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
In this dynamic and challenging role you are responsible for the life cycle management of the various product series. You manage and strengthen the product portfolio to ensure it remains relevant, answers (implicit) market needs, is competitive and adds value to the customers. You ensure the right price positioning strategy and measure if/where corrective actions are needed. You prepare product plans and sales forecasts translated based on external trends and customer/market insights. You concentrate on our markets and work closely with the Innovation Manager and Industrial Designers. Reporting directly to the Head of Product Marketing & Innovation, your main task includes the following:
- Portfolio/ category management
- Product creation, introductions and phasing out
- Price positioning & Value Based Pricing
- Business analysis & development
- Sales forecasting
- Market & competitor analyses
- Product performance and defining/driving (corrective) actions
- Assessing and handling requests for special product solutions
Your profile
To be eligible for the position, you must be able to demonstrate the following characteristics and bring the following experiences:
- Bachelor in Business Economics or Commercial Economics
- Excellent analytical skills (and use of available tools) and the ability to initiate and drive any needed actions with Sales and/or Operations
- At least 5 years of experience in a relevant job position such as category management, successful product launches, product pruning cycles, VPH, building and ‘selling’ Business Cases
- Good understanding of market and competitor analysis techniques
- Experienced in project management
- Able to deal with multiple project deadlines at the same time (set clear priorities and deliver accordingly)
- Excellent organizational communication and writing skills, in Dutch and English
- Team player with a hands-on and Can-Do mentality
