Tasks:
- Designing architecture for new projects to meet goals set by the Product team
- Providing feedback to Business Analysts on quality/clarity of requirements
- Supporting Agile processes/practices
- Creating good unit tests
- Connecting to downstream systems via XML/SOAP
- Process data stored in a MySQL database
- Supporting testers creating automated acceptance tests
Requirements:
- Good Ruby on Rails programming skills
- Familiar with unit testing capability in RoR
- Knowledge of Capistrano, Chef, Vagrant
- Understanding of Ruby templating technologies (ERB, HAML)
- Practical understanding of various database technologies (SQL, relational, no-sql, reporting).
- Good knowledge of English
- Professional approach to work, strong sense of responsibility to the customer
- Nice and open-minded
Additional advantages are:
- Basic knowledge of Jquery and/or CoffeeScript, other JavaScript MVC frameworks
- Knowledge of Java
- Good understanding of Software Development Engineering - unit testing, code review, Continuous Integration, release and deployment
- Good knowledge of Spring, Hibernate
- Experience with Agile methodology
