ASML is looking for a senior Hadoop developer. You’ll be part of a Hadoop team working on exciting machine data usecases, in a large datalake environment.
What we expect from you:
10 years plus total experience of which at least three years should have working experience in the Apache Hadoop framework (MUST), Kafka, Hbase, HDFS, Spark , Python, PySpark (MUST), Sqoop and Oozie.
Experience of working in a development teams, using agile techniques and CI/CD. As senior developer you will be coaching one of our big data development teams, discuss designs with our business information analysts and architects. You will provide software coding guidance, best-practices to your fellow team-members.

These tailor-made machines can image billions of structures in a few seconds with an accuracy of a few silicon atoms. A sub-department within the IT organization is the Competence Center Big Data and Advance Analytics. This Competence Center provides IT project and support services for this domain.

- Big Data full-stack developer with software engineering back-ground
- Full working knowledge of SQL. Ability to identify and translate use cases into Hadoop.
- Software release management (GitHub, Buildkite )
- Passion for technology and ability to adapt to new environment.
- Technical Leading Skill.
- Excellent English language skills
Education
- HBO+ level or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer/Information Sciences.
Experience
- Experience with Cloudera Hadoop distribution. Preferably Cloudera Manager and - Navigator, HUE, Impala (MUST), Solr and Kudu (MUST)
- Experience with Azure Cloud development for BigData
Personal skills
- Good customer focus and customer facing skills;
- Taking and driving ownership;
- Shows initiative and problem solving attitude;
- Work independently;
- Excellent presentation and communication skills and proficiency in the English language;
