(Senior) Product Development Manager

As a (Senior) Product Development Manager you will provide technological support to Multinational customers and be an integral part of product development projects for the Wilmar product portfolio. This portfolio comprises refined vegetable oils and fats which are being delivered in the countries that are in Wilmar scope.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technical food questions from customers or colleagues and come with proper answers and advises;
• Coordinating projects within the Wilmar organizations for the assigned regions and/or individual customers within time/costs/quality;
• Manage the project budget and the project resources assigned, including estimation of changes and different scenarios impact analysis;
• Interface internal and external stakeholders and act as main point of contact with internal and external customers;
• Trend watching. Identify and initiate opportunities, based on these trends;
• Establish and maintain excellent relationships with new and existing customers;
• · Identify and analyze potential new markets or customers and actively contribute to the execution of these plans;
• Represent Wilmar on various internal and external meetings promoting and defending their best interest;
• Be active part of (Key) Accounts and/or regional teams;
• Support complaint resolution and communication internally or externally;
• Stay in close contact and align customer communication with Wilmar joint venture Olenex.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in technical science (E.G: Food Technology, Chemistry, Process Technology, Biology);
• A demonstrable track record of project management experience;
• Proven experience in the vegetable oils and/or confectionary branch is an advantage;
• English and preferable another European language, Chinese would be a plus;
• Proven work experience as a Technical Account Manager, Product Development Manager or relevant role;
• Proficiency in MS Office software;
• Good Analytical strength;
• Commercial skills;
• Extensive time management, problem solving skills, planning and organizational skills;
• Willingness to travel.
