Sr. Voip Engineer

We have an amazing opportunity for a knowledgeable Cisco VOIP Engineer who should have at least 5 years of experience with Cisco Collaboration architecture, design and implementation experience in complex mid to large corporation or service provider infrastructures.

This vacancy is part of our Global IT Headquarters, located in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. We have more than 135 IT employees in Rotterdam, divided over 8 main teams: Operations, Development, Security, Business Intelligence, Application Support, Center of Expertise SAP, Enterprise Architecture and Project Management Office.

Glencore Agriculture is facing the challenge of a significant IT landscape change. The landscape of infrastructure and systems are being transitioned to a next maturity level to ensure to be ready for the future.

Department you will be working for:
You will be a member of team IT Infrastructure which is part of the Global IT Operations department.

Main responsibilities:

• Manage Cisco Voice technologies
• Perform system administration on complex enterprise telecommunications systems, including the Cisco products mentioned above.
• Troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve telecommunications systems errors and problems.
• Implement new telecommunications voice systems and voice network services and upgrades to existing systems and services. Produce test plans for implementations and upgrades, and ensure quality by performing thorough testing. Participate in business continuity planning and testing.
• Apply knowledge of telecommunications voice technologies to identify and provide solutions for business needs. Work with various business groups to understand future/growth needs, translate these needs into requirements, and contribute to the design of supporting solutions.
• Perform capacity planning and reporting, and operational system maintenance tasks including patching and proactive resets and reboots to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
• Develop, document, and maintain configuration standards and operating procedures for telecommunications voice systems and voice network.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and cross-training.
• Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems;
• Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes;
• Writing business cases for implementing new project / tool and create improvement proposals towards Management within area of expertise;
• As part of the larger global infrastructure operations community, ensure a stable IT platform for the company

In this responsible and accurate role, we require:

• Bachelor/Master or equivalent in Information Technology or other relevant field;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position;
• Demonstrated skills in Cisco Voice technologies using following Product technologies:
  - Cisco Unified Communication Manager 11 and higher.
  - Cisco Unity Connection 11 and higher.
  - Cisco Meeting Server.
  - Cisco Telepresence Management Suite including Microsoft Exchange Integration.
  - Cisco Expressway Integration for Business to Business communication.
  - Cisco integration with Microsoft / Skype for Business.
  - Voice Gateways ISR (ISDN, SIP, CUBE, MTP).
  - Call Admission Control and Bandwidth Management.
  - Cisco Audio, Audio/Video and Telepresence Endpoint portfolio
  - Cisco Prime Collaboration Provisioning 11 and higher.
  - Cisco WebEx video collaboration, online meeting, web conferencing and videoconferencing application.
  - Cisco Jabber
• Experience in creating proposals and solution design documents;
• Experience in network management campus and datacenters;
• Certified Cisco: CCIE Collaboration, CCNP Collaboration;
