YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for developing and implementing with the team the long-term technical architecture and technical product strategy
- Drive team mastery of world-class development techniques
- Facilitate communication and decision-making between teams and stakeholders, solve conflicts
- Support people leads in developing people, coach and develop team members regarding technical expertise
- Identify and share your knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies that will help us innovate faster
- Represent Zalando at conferences and meetups, give technical talks and help to recruit great people
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Excellent technical skills
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Deep technical knowledge of iOS mobile development, Objective-C and Swift
- Excellent knowledge about iOS tooling, for continuous integration, delivery and testing
- Knowledge of REST APIs and what’s going on behind them
- Passion for object-oriented, well structured, readable and testable code
- You took a leading role in developing complex apps with a development team
- Experience building, developing and managing a team of engineers in an agile environment
- Ability to lead projects and groups, including managing complex projects with various stakeholders
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams, and to solve conflicts
- Ability to think creatively, problem solve, and innovate
