Would you like to contribute to the Amsterdam metro system?
Purpose of the job: Testing of the signaling system in a (semi-)simulated environment.
As a FIVP Engineer you take part in testing campaigns for delivery of highly advanced train technical
systems. In addition, you are responsible for checking pre-formulated operational requirements on safety
and quality fulfillment. To achieve these results, you take part in a team of engineers with different
disciplines. You are required to work in a structured way, pay attention to the details and be eager to learn
each day. This position is suited for a junior professional with a passion for trains and technology.
Objective:
To participate and support project FIVP validation activities to ensure the delivery of a complete, correct and
accurate System in line with Project contractual requirements.
Measurement :
Period evaluation of Work by Manager Engineering and feedback Project Manager and Peers.
Accountabilities:
Ensure that communication and documentation is clear, proper action is taken based on operational
business rules and all internal processes are followed.
Responsibilities:
Ensures via testing a full coverage on correct implementation of the requirements.
To run the test procedures and to record the associated test reports.
Interpretation of the test procedures / scenarios to be run and their execution.
Elaborate the Impact analysis report to determine the non-regression strategy.
System Non Regression Test Report based on List of Open Points (LOP’s) including impact analysis.
Synthesis of the tests performed and analysis of the non-conformities detected during the validation
sessions in order to identify the restrictions to be applied.
Support to the VI&T leader for reporting of the restrictions analysis and for planning consolidation.
Reporting following the process defined by the project and/or the department.
Functie-eisen
Education & Profile:
Bachelor Education (ing.) in technical related study (e.g. Electronics/Software).
Junior Engineering Profile with IT driven interest.
Knowledge and passion for the railway industry and in particular Signaling is preferred (Rail-Minor).
Job requirements:
Software Management Cycle Awareness: Waterfall Method, V-Model, SCRUM Methodology.
Configuration Management: Version control on Software and Documentation.
Testing: Manual Test Execution, Automated Test Execution, Functional Test Execution.
Networking: CIDR subnet notation, routing, virtualization.
Linux: basics, configuration, Network diagnostics, file system management, text manipulation, script
language basics, bash/python/lua.
General requirements:
Communicational skills for working in and with multifunctional teams.
Ability to express him/herself verbally and in written manner.
Work in a Microsoft Office 365 environment.
Work Experience:
0-3 years of experience in technical position.
Experience with project way of working is requested but not required.
Language:
Dutch, fluent in English, French desirable.
